Description

Quick & Tasty Fast Food Style Breakfast cheesy and super satisfying

Ingredients

Method

  1. Get your pan hot
  2. Put a non-stick pan or griddle on medium heat. Throw in your bacon (or sausage patty). Cook until crispy (about 3–4 minutes per side for bacon). Take it out and let it drain on a paper towel. Keep the pan with that lovely bacon fat!
  3. Toast the muffin
  4. While bacon cooks, split the English muffin and lightly butter both sides. Toast it cut-side down in the same pan (or in a toaster) until golden and buttery. Set aside.
  5. Fry the egg – fast food style
  6. In the same pan (with bacon grease – that’s the secret!), crack the egg.
  7. Immediately break the yolk gently with the edge of the spatula and spread it a little so it cooks evenly.
  8. Sprinkle a tiny pinch of salt and pepper.
  9. Optional: Add 1 tsp milk and mix quickly for that super-soft fast-food egg texture.
  10. Cook 1–2 minutes until the white is set but yolk is still soft and runny (or cook longer if you like it well done).
  11. Assemble while everything’s hot
  12. Bottom muffin half → cheese slice (let the hot egg melt it a bit) → egg → crispy bacon or sausage patty → another slice of cheese if you’re feeling extra → top muffin half.
  13. Eat immediately!
  14. Wrap in foil for 30 seconds if you want it extra melty and warm like the real drive-thru version.
  15. Pro Tips from someone who’s made this 1000 times
  16. Make the egg in a round egg ring (or even a clean tuna can with top & bottom removed) if you want that perfect fast-food circle shape.
  17. Add a squirt of sriracha or hot sauce inside for a little kick.
  18. If you’re really in a hurry, microwave the bacon between paper towels for 2 minutes instead of frying.
  19. Enjoy your fast-food breakfast fix without leaving the house or waiting in line!
  20. Let me know if you try it – I’d love to hear how you make it your own! 😊
